Paris Saint Germains Ligue 1 Title Race In Jeopardy After Draw With Stade De Reims

Paris Saint-Germain's Ligue 1 Title Race in Jeopardy After Draw with Stade de Reims

PSG's Stuttering Form Continues

Paris Saint-Germain's hopes of retaining their Ligue 1 title suffered a setback on Sunday as they were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Stade de Reims.

The result leaves PSG three points behind leaders Lille with just six games remaining, and they now face an uphill battle to claim a ninth league title in the past 10 seasons.

PSG's performance against Reims was far from convincing, and they were fortunate to escape with a point after falling behind to a first-half goal from Boulaye Dia.

Reims' Impressive Display

Reims, who are currently 14th in the Ligue 1 standings, put in a spirited display and deservedly earned a share of the spoils.

The visitors defended resolutely throughout the match and limited PSG to few clear-cut chances.

Reims' performance was all the more impressive given that they were without several key players due to injury and suspension.

PSG's Champions League Hopes Boost

Despite their struggles in Ligue 1, PSG remain on course to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The French champions hold a 4-1 lead over Barcelona heading into the second leg of their last-16 tie.

PSG will be confident of progressing to the next round and will be hoping to put their Ligue 1 disappointment behind them.
