Bryce Underwood Shows 'Another Gift' as Running Ability Rescues Belleville to Open Season

Underwood's athleticism and quick thinking save the day -- plan to interview next week!

Bryce Underwood, a 6'3'', 225-pound linebacker for Belleville High School, showed off "another gift" on Friday night, according to Belleville coach Jeremy Chinn. With Belleville trailing 14-13 late in the fourth quarter, Underwood scooped up a fumble and raced 65 yards for a touchdown, giving Belleville a 20-14 victory over Belleville West.

"He's a great athlete," Chinn said. "He's got a lot of natural ability. He's a hard worker. He's a great kid. He's a great teammate. He's just a joy to coach."

Underwood is known for his athleticism and playmaking ability. He was a standout running back and linebacker for Belleville's junior varsity team last season. He was also a member of Belleville's track and field team, where he competed in the long jump and triple jump.
