Borderlands Movie Ending Explained
The Basics
The upcoming Borderlands movie, an adaptation of the hit video game, stars Cate Blanchett and Kevin Hart. The film follows intergalactic bounty hunter Lilith (Blanchett) as she travels to the planet Pandora in search of a legendary vault containing alien technology. Along the way, she teams up with Roland (Hart), a former Crimson Lance soldier, and other colorful characters.
The Ending
At the end of the movie, Lilith and her team finally reach the vault. Inside, they find a powerful artifact called the Eridian Resonator. The Resonator is capable of opening wormholes, which the team uses to escape Pandora and return to Earth. However, before they can leave, they are confronted by Handsome Jack (Jamie Lee Curtis), the villainous CEO of Hyperion Corporation.
Jack reveals that he has been manipulating Lilith and her team all along. He wanted them to find the Resonator so that he could use it to open a wormhole to the Eridian homeworld, where he plans to enslave the Eridians and use their technology to conquer the galaxy.
Lilith and her team fight against Jack and his forces, and in the end, they are able to defeat him. They then escape through the wormhole and return to Earth, where they vow to continue fighting against Jack and his evil plans.
The Post-Credits Scene
The Borderlands movie has a mid-credits scene with Claptrap twerking, adding humor to the film's ending.
