Cinco de Mayo - Not just a day of drinking

Cinco de Mayo or the fifth of May is a holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and in the United States. It is not to be confused with Mexican Independence Day which came on Sept 16 1810 when the country broke free of Spanish rule. Rather it commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. So much more than just a day of drinking.
